On her personal page, she shared several photos from the journey, expressing profound gratitude for her husband, Max Zhang. Choi's early life was marked by hardship. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother struggled with a gambling addiction. After achieving the Miss Hong Kong first runner-up title at 17, Choi entered the entertainment industry to support her family. However, her mother's escalating debts forced Choi to use all her savings to settle them.

Reflecting on her past, Choi acknowledges her transformation. She is grateful for all her earlier experiences, believing that enduring past hardships and suffering taught her to deeply appreciate her current life.

According to Ulife Style, Choi has invested in real estate, owning properties in mainland China and Hong Kong valued at approximately 200 million HKD (25,7 million USD). The couple also generates income from rental properties.

During the 1990s and 2000s, Choi was a prominent TVB actress, starring in popular dramas such as "Healing Hands," "A Kindred Spirit," "Triumph in the Skies," "Where the Legend Begins," and "War and Beauty." Her husband, Max Zhang, gained recognition for his roles in martial arts films like "SPL II: A Time for Consequences," "Ip Man 3," and "The Grandmaster." In recent years, the couple has frequently appeared in reality shows together.

Speaking on Mango TV, Choi candidly acknowledged that marriage has its challenges and is not always as idyllic as it appears. However, she emphasized that their sincere approach to each other and mutual understanding allow them to overlook minor disagreements, strengthening their bond.

Choi describes her current life as her happiest and most comfortable period. In the evenings, after their children are asleep, the couple often watches movies and dines together in the living room. Max Zhang enjoys flying drones, and Choi frequently joins him to offer support.
