"Alice in Borderland" is a survival thriller directed by Shinsuke Sato, known for adapting manga into live-action films. Inspired by "Alice in Wonderland," the series follows Arisu, an unemployed young man from Tokyo, who is transported to a parallel world called "Borderland." In this world, people must participate in deadly games to survive. Arisu is joined by Usagi, and the two become each other's emotional support as they seek the truth behind Borderland.
In 2022, season two was a global hit, topping Netflix's global top 10 list for non-English television series. The production featured impressive sets and intense, violent scenes. However, some plot changes and omissions from the original manga led to less suspense compared to the first season.
