Chau Bui dances to Binz's music

Fashionista Chau Bui used her boyfriend - rapper Binz's - music to express her happiness in love on the "Em xinh say hi" stage.

Chau Bui's performance in the final.

Chau Bui competed in the final solo round, aired on 17/8, alongside seven other performers. She sang "Doi ban tay" (composed by Harose) in a ballad style, about the feeling of peace with a new partner after a breakup. According to Chau Bui, the song carries a healing message and is a wedding song for couples in love, proposing, or preparing for their wedding ceremony.

Chau Bui transformed into a princess, sleeping in a cradle, awakened by dancers.

At the end of the performance, Chau Bui danced to her boyfriend Binz's vocals. The rapper's part included the lines: "Next to you. Wherever we go, I feel like it's heaven. All the broken pieces of the past. Become easy, nothing is too difficult. Just knowing you are there".

Chau Bui and Binz publicized their relationship in 2022 after three years of acquaintance. Recently, they have been more open about their bond, life together, and future plans. Binz has been supportive of Chau Bui's foray into singing.

The fashionista chose the reality show as a platform to launch her singing career. Through various rounds, she gradually showed the audience her passion and determination to pursue a professional path. She described her first solo stage as "magical, like a dream".

Chau Bui, 26, is a famous fashionista with over 3.4 million followers on Instagram. She frequently appears at international events such as Paris Fashion Week (France) and Milan Fashion Week (Italy).

The other seven performances also captivated the audience. Phuong Ly performed "Vo tay" in a romantic setting. She transformed into a disco queen, showcasing her dance skills to upbeat music. The highlight of the performance was when Phuong Ly took off her fur coat to reveal a glamorous outfit, then danced under "tinsel rain".

The singer expressed her joy at participating in the program, feeling more understood by the audience after a long career.

Orange sang "Loi nguoc dong," a song she wrote about overcoming challenges and facing negative emotions to stay in the profession. The highlight of her performance was being suspended in the air while playing electric guitar.

She said four years ago she was "deeply submerged, drowned by the current," but music and the love of the audience revived her spirit. MC Tran Thanh commented that Orange brought energy like a "reborn phoenix" and her music heals those who haven't had a smooth start.

Bich Phuong performed "Chu ky moi" in a mystical atmosphere. She sat inside a giant egg, symbolizing rebirth. The performance involved over 30 dancers and a captivating stage design. In the finale, Bich Phuong performed a solo dance, something she rarely does on stage.

The singer said she didn't have high expectations, wanting only to practice and reflect on herself after a two-year break from music. She found the most joy in the program through the emotions and improvement in her skills.

Tien Tien performed "Live My Way" with the support of Anh Sang AZA (right), the youngest contestant eliminated after the third round. The performance had a youthful, colorful style.

By participating in the program, Tien Tien wanted to show her mother that she could do many things. Tien Tien is proud of overcoming her weakness in dancing after 15 years in the profession.

Phao sang "Di ve" as a pilot on a flight, guiding passengers through various emotions. After the performance, MC Tran Thanh commented: "I feel you always live true to your feelings".

Lyhan sang "Roi tu do," hoping the audience would perceive her true self through her music. The singer chose a minimalist performance style, focusing solely on her vocals. Six violinists also supported the performance.

She admitted to being drawn to dark music because she has experienced many sorrows that are difficult to share. In despair, she often sings to herself to stabilize her emotions. Through the show, Lyhan said she overcame many fears, bravely faced public opinion, and became more confident.

Miu Le told a love story in "Em thich la duoc." The singer shared that she had experienced many relationships that her mother did not support. Following her heart, she continued to love and learned many lessons. Miu Le created a stage bathed in red, with light cutting across like streaks of fire, creating an intense and mysterious atmosphere.

She accepted the invitation to join the show because she wanted to regain the feeling of being busy with work and find inspiration after a period of losing her passion for the profession.

After the solo performances, the 16 contestants formed four teams for a final group performance. Audience voting will take place from 9 to 23/8 to determine the champion, runner-up, and Best 5.

The "Em xinh say hi" show aims to "find the next generation of female idols in Vietnamese music." Airing since late May, the 14-episode show is scheduled to conclude at the end of August. The contestants are divided into alliances, competing directly through performances in the style of music groups. The program is produced by the same organizers who successfully ran the "Anh trai say hi" program in mid-2024. After the final ranking, the singers will participate in their first concert on 13/9 in TP HCM.
