Almost six months after Barbie Hsu's passing, DJ Koo maintains his daily routine of visiting her grave and bringing fresh flowers. He brings a small chair and sits, sharing the events of his day with her.
A taxi driver recounted a story of taking passengers to visit the actress's grave. Initially worried about finding the exact location, they were relieved to see DJ Koo already there. The singer politely greeted them and thanked them for visiting. "I read the news about him going to the grave every day," the driver said, "At first, I didn't think it was real, but seeing DJ Koo, and the sadness emanating from him, touched everyone's hearts."

The singer has expressed his desire to continue living in Taiwan to remain "under the same sky" as his wife. Hsu's mother and Dee Hsu (the actress's younger sister) occasionally visit DJ Koo.
Hsu's children with her former husband, Wang Xiaofei, currently live with their father and stepmother. The actress passed away suddenly on 2/2 while traveling in Japan with her mother, sister, and children. Her family brought her back to her final resting place on 15/3.
She left behind an estate exceeding 1 billion New Taiwan dollars (over 30 million USD). According to Next Apple, Hsu and DJ Koo did not sign a prenuptial agreement. The singer has publicly relinquished all inheritance rights to his mother-in-law.
The love story of DJ Koo and Barbie Hsu has been described by many as more dramatic and intricate than a movie. They fell in love in the 1990s but separated due to the intervention of the singer's management company. According to Vogue, upon hearing about Hsu's divorce from Wang Xiaofei in 2021, DJ Koo called the actress using the number he had saved 20 years prior, overjoyed that she still used the same phone number. They rekindled their relationship and completed their marriage registration in early 2022 during the pandemic.
Over the past three years, the couple faced numerous challenges. DJ Koo was distressed by the negative remarks made about his wife by her former husband and mother-in-law. However, he remained strong to support his partner. "I came to Taiwan to protect and take care of her," the singer said. "I promised to protect her for life."
