Dr. Trinh Thang believes creativity arises not from ideas or effort, but from an "empty mind," free from ego. With this mindset, he painted intermittently, completing 40 pieces in just over a month. Due to their large size, he painted outdoors, attracting daily crowds of neighbors and onlookers.
"From the first stroke to completion, I don't usually think; I just paint continuously, deconstructing forms and capturing the essential spirit of enlightened beings and the Bodhi mind. You won't find conventional beauty here, but rather, a unique message in each piece. This is my gift to everyone," the artist said.

At the opening, Dr. Thang also introduced his art book, "Sacred Echoes," compiling 200 works from his three most recent solo exhibitions: "Void" (2020), "Vibrations from the Void" (2024), and "Breath of Bodhi" (2025).
"If 'Void' portrays spiritual masters, a call to begin our transformative journey, then the diverse manifestations of the arhats in 'Vibrations from the Void' encourage us onward. 'Sacred Echoes' flows continuously, connecting and guiding art lovers to enhance their appreciation, perception, and return to their true nature through each painting," he explained.
Born in 1972 in Thai Binh, Trinh Thang holds a doctorate in public health, specializing in social and behavioral sciences from the University of North Carolina (UNC) in the US. He has worked in public health, education, and social development. He also dedicates time to martial arts, qigong, meditation, and bioenergetics. He is an author and poet and has held several solo art exhibitions. In 2023, he released the memoir "Touching Kailash - Sacred Stories," about his pilgrimage to Mount Kailash, a mystical and legendary site in the Himalayas.
