Khanh gained public attention through the rural reality show "Gia dinh Haha". The actor charmed viewers with his humorous conversations and ability to connect with fellow cast members. Videos featuring Khanh attract tens of thousands of views and thousands of comments on TikTok, with his name frequently discussed across social media platforms. "Duy Khanh exudes charm and approachability, and everything he says makes me laugh," one viewer commented on the show's fan page.
Previously, he also garnered attention in "Anh trai vuot ngan chong gai" with his versatile stage presence, showcasing skills in acrobatics, rapping, dancing, and traditional opera singing. Most of his performances with his team trended on YouTube.
Born in Ho Chi Minh City to a non-artistic family, Khanh's passion for acting ignited during his school years. He first gained recognition through a parody video titled "Kinh van bong" by a comedy group before becoming an internet sensation in 2014 with his portrayal of teacher Khanh in the "School TV" series.
The actor applied to the Ho Chi Minh City University of Theater and Cinema for formal training. However, a health crisis led to heart surgery at the age of 18, requiring a long recovery period. "I lived with a metal plate in my chest, struggling to speak and move. There was a time when I felt insecure about rapid weight gain. I thought my future was over," he said.

Khanh's mother initially disapproved of his artistic aspirations due to concerns about the industry's complexities. He secretly auditioned for extra roles, earning a meager 70,000 VND. Witnessing his unwavering determination, his mother eventually relented, allowing him to pursue a career in showbiz.
Initially lacking industry connections, Khanh struggled to secure roles. In 2018, he joined "Guong mat than quen" season 6, hoping a win would open doors. He impressed audiences with his transformations into celebrities like Siu Black, Ho Ngoc Ha, and Tuan Hung. He ultimately won, impersonating artist Thanh Loc in the play "Tam Cam".
In 2019, he launched sitcom series: "Ba 5 Bong", "Xom san si", and "Tien toc bat on". He also received the "Best Online Film Actor" award from Ngoi Sao Xanh, judged and voted on by an art council.
This recognition led to more film offers and increased visibility. He appeared in brand commercials and worked tirelessly on projects like "Chay di roi tinh", "Sai Gon, anh yeu em", and "Vo si dai chien". "Everything happened unexpectedly," the actor reflected. "From being unknown, now people recognize me everywhere." Khanh's income has significantly increased from his initial earnings of tens of thousands of VND. He invests in his image and collaborates with talented teams to create content for his personal channels.
Despite the attention, some still label Khanh a "YouTube star". He expresses gratitude for the feedback, viewing it as motivation. He constantly refines his acting by studying films and learning from colleagues.
Khanh attributes his success to luck and his own hard work and open-mindedness. Previously hesitant to pursue his desires, he now embraces challenges and explores his performance strengths.
Colleagues commend Khanh's dedication. Dinh Ha Uyen Thu, stage director of "Anh trai vuot ngan chong gai", notes: "Duy Khanh is highly focused on stage. Despite not being a professional singer, he always strives to meet the demands of the organizers and his team." Singer-songwriter Bui Cong Nam, a cast member on "Gia dinh Haha", describes Khanh as talented, serious, and friendly. "Khanh embraces challenges and pushes his boundaries," says Nam.
The actor acknowledges future challenges as he aims to solidify his image as a true artist recognized for his talent. Recently, he has been investing in costumes and vocal training to perform with Bui Cong Nam and Thanh Duy. He looks forward to collaborating with Gen Z artists, exploring new facets of himself.
