Duy Khanh and Bui Cong Nam explore Uniqlo's fall/winter collection

Duy Khanh and Bui Cong Nam explored Uniqlo's 2025 LifeWear fall/winter collection, featuring functional apparel with updated colors, materials, and silhouettes.

Artists Duy Khanh and Bui Cong Nam attended the launch event for the LifeWear fall/winter collection at Thu Thiem Riverstage, TP HCM, to discover the new apparel. The theme "Revisiting classic" permeated the designs, blending classic architecture with modern elements inspired by Ivy League universities like Princeton and Harvard.

Duy Khanh was impressed with the new approach to design, particularly the proportions and coordination of each piece. The Ivy League style is reflected in sporty characteristics and interesting layering, from denim and flannel shirts to lightweight jackets, creating a dynamic and fresh look with versatile color combinations.

Bui Cong Nam also learned about the Upstate Weekend style within the 2025 LifeWear fall/winter collection, inspired by the crisp air of Upstate, New York. Uniqlo captures the feeling of a weekend at a lakeside resort or snow-covered cabin through everyday clothing suitable for both indoors and outdoors, providing comfort and warmth.

Key pieces in the Upstate Weekend style include jackets, sweaters, and knitwear in new shades, designed for outdoor activities. The collection also features winter essentials: the new Heattech Cashmere line for men, the next-generation Pufftech down jackets, and Milano and Souffle sweaters.

Uniqlo Jeans, a top-selling line globally, is also featured in the new collection, with a focus on trendy designs. Highlights include classic straight jeans for both men and women, conceived by designer Jonathan Anderson, who focused on silhouette and material selection to enhance aesthetics and practicality.

True to the "Revisiting classic" theme, the new Uniqlo Jeans line uses premium materials and offers various fits, from slim and straight to wide leg, suitable for diverse styles. The jeans are designed to be both flattering and comfortable for movement and activities.

While exploring the displays, Duy Khanh and Bui Cong Nam encountered many new styles suitable for colder weather.

This season, the Japanese brand continues to introduce sweaters and knitwear made from select yarns. Standout pieces include the Souffle sweater (known for its softness), the Washable Milano sweater in classic shapes and various colors (crew neck, turtleneck, cardigan, polo), and other new sweater styles that are machine washable, retaining their shape, softness, and durability.

Pufftech, the next-generation down jacket launched last year and praised for its warmth, returns with further improvements. Using new ultra-fine fiber technology from Japan, this line mimics the natural air-trapping properties of down feathers, increasing warmth retention.

This year, the brand introduces new designs: the packable Pufftech vest, the slim-fit Pufftech jacket, and the Pufftech parka, emphasizing vibrant colors suitable for winter outings, travel, or trekking.

Similarly, Heattech, a symbol of over 20 years of Japanese technology, is essential to the new collection. Heattech is the result of years of research and close collaboration with Toray Industries, a leading global manufacturer of synthetic fibers, apparel materials, and chemicals.

Heattech thermal wear absorbs energy from body moisture and converts it into heat, providing warmth with a thin layer, ideal for layering. In addition to the women's line, the brand has added a Heattech cashmere blend for men.

To meet growing shopping demands, Uniqlo has previewed special designs in collaboration with renowned designers. One example is the Uniqlo: C collection, themed "Modern movement" by Global Creative Director Clare Waight Keller, emphasizing innovative and elegant styles.

Fashion enthusiasts can also explore designs from two special collections: Uniqlo U Fall/Winter 2025 and Uniqlo and JW Anderson Fall/Winter 2025. The new items will be available from now until the end of October, both in stores and online.
