Singer Duyen Quynh and musician Nguyen Van Chung have released the music video "Under the fatherland's flag, you return," a tribute to fallen heroes and martyrs. The song, composed by Nguyen Van Chung and performed by Duyen Quynh, was released to support the 500-day and night campaign, which aims to search for and gather the remains of martyrs.
The song recounts the emotional journey of bringing fallen soldiers home after decades. A recurring symbol throughout the piece is the national flag draped over the soldiers' remains, evoking sacrifice, gratitude, and the longing for reunion among families with loved ones missing from the war.
Nguyen Van Chung crafted the song with a narrative style rich in storytelling, blending pride with poignant moments. The composition contrasts present peace with past losses, reminding listeners of the value of peace. The musician stated he wrote the song after following images and stories from TP HCM's recent campaign to find martyrs' remains. "I embed deep gratitude into every note," Nguyen Van Chung said. "I entrusted the song to Duyen Quynh because I believe she understands and can convey the emotions to the public."

The music video intertwines two distinct periods: it recreates the ideals and bravery of wartime soldiers, connecting this with the ongoing journey of finding and bringing their remains home to families in peacetime. Duyen Quynh shared that she cried the first time she heard the melody and read the lyrics. "I perform the song with the gratitude of a young person towards the preceding generation who sacrificed their youth, blood, and bones for the nation," she said.

The 500-day and night campaign, running from 15/3/2026 to 27/7/2027, has ambitious goals: to search for and gather approximately 7,000 martyrs' remains, collect samples from 230,000 unidentified martyrs' graves, conduct DNA testing on about 18,000 bone samples, build a gene database of martyrs' relatives, and complete mine clearance in key areas to support the search and collection efforts.
In a related event, the "Khuc tri an" (Song of Gratitude) art program will be held on 13/10 at Le Thi Rieng Park in TP HCM. This location, where many mass graves were discovered, will serve as a poignant venue to honor martyrs who sacrificed for the nation's independence and freedom.
