Antonio de la Rua, 52, is the son of former Argentine President Fernando de la Rua (1937-2019) and currently works as a lawyer and businessman. He and Shakira dated from 2000 to 2010. According to La Nacion, Antonio was not only her romantic partner but also her manager, involved in many aspects of her career during their time together.
Despite their current friendship, Antonio once sued Shakira in 2012, seeking approximately 100 million USD. He claimed she failed to pay "profits for their past and future collaboration," arguing his role as a strategic consultant helped her achieve international success. It appears they have since settled their legal differences and mended their relationship. La Nacion reported that when the Spanish Prosecutor's Office accused Shakira of tax fraud involving 14,5 million euro between 2012 and 2014, Antonio de la Rua was among 117 witnesses who defended her.
After their separation, Shakira was in a relationship with former Spanish footballer Gerald Pique from 2011 to 2022, and they have two sons. Hola reported that Shakira once had dinner with Antonio, her two sons, and her brother Tonino at a restaurant in San Diego in August 2025.
Shakira, 49, is a renowned Colombian singer, dubbed the "Queen of Latin Music" for her energetic, vibrant dances. She is also known as the "Queen of World Cup Music" for her many anthems for major tournaments. Throughout her career, Shakira has won numerous prestigious music awards and set Guinness records with her songs. Her "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran" tour kicked off in February 2025 and is expected to conclude its concert series in Egypt on 28/11. As of January 2026, the tour has generated 421,6 million USD for her. Guinness has confirmed this as the highest-grossing concert series by a Latin artist of all time.
