The film marks Hoai Lam's return to the big screen since "Yeu em bat chap" (2018), a romantic comedy directed by Van Cong Vien, a remake of the Korean film "My Sassy Girl". Primarily a musician, Hoai Lam has occasionally appeared in films such as "Quy tu bat dac di" (2015) and "Tia toi la cao thu" (2016). Despite limited screen time, his natural acting style has been praised.
Recently, Hoai Lam has gradually returned to work after a period of medical treatment. In late 2024, he revealed he was hospitalized in Can Tho for a neurological condition affecting his emotional control. The singer had to cancel two concerts in Ho Chi Minh City and took a three-month break from performing.
