The star of "Love Story in Harvard" opened up about marriage and children in a video on tvN on 19/8. When the MC asked, "When did you start thinking about marrying Rain?", Kim Tae Hee replied that her and Rain's answers might differ. Kim Tae Hee recalled that while they were dating, Rain gave her small gifts "that didn't feel like a burden."
Whenever she was tired or feeling down, those gifts would make her smile. This led her to consider a deeper commitment with Rain.
The couple first met in 2012. In a YouTube talkshow, Rain revealed he was smitten with his colleague from the start. After obtaining her phone number, he invited her to dinner, but she declined, saying, "There's no reason for us to have dinner together." Tae Hee even told Rain directly that he wasn't her type.

This blunt rejection sparked Rain's competitive spirit. He thought to himself, "What's going on? I'm a decent guy." A year later, while on leave from his mandatory military service, Rain texted Kim Tae Hee and again asked her out. During their courtship, Rain confessed his feelings several times, but Tae Hee remained hesitant. She wasn't yet sure about the singer, who was two years younger, believing him to be a playboy. Rain's persistence and sincerity eventually won her over.
The actors married in 2017 and have two daughters, ages 8 and 6. Tae Hee revealed that the girls resemble both parents. "The older one has the top half of her face like mine and the bottom half like her dad's. The younger one is the opposite, which is both funny and touching," the actress said.
Since their marriage, Kim Tae Hee has focused on raising their children, while Rain continues his active career in music and television. This year, Tae Hee stars in the American-produced television series "Butterfly," premiering on 22/8.
