On the evening of 18/8, a representative of Kim Dong publishing house announced that after a period of negotiation, the company has become a partner of Studio Ghibli in publishing anime comics (comics based on animated films), novels, and picture books.
In addition to book releases, the publishing house plans to collaborate with cinema systems to re-screen the studio's animated films. "We want to bring Vietnamese audiences enriching works that contribute to nurturing a love for art and cinema," said a representative of the publishing house.

The announcement received over 20,000 likes and nearly 3,000 shares on the publisher's fan page. Many fans expressed their desire to collect the entire series. One user commented, "Not only will we get to read the books, but we'll also get to see Studio Ghibli films again. Absolutely amazing,".
Founded in 1985 by directors Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata, Studio Ghibli is known for its traditionally hand-drawn animation, meticulous in every frame. Over four decades, the studio has become a global animation icon with 22 films, many of which have become landmarks in Japanese cinema history and won numerous awards, including My Neighbor Totoro (1988), Princess Mononoke (1997), Howl's Moving Castle (2004), and The Wind Rises (2013).
