According to Kim Hien, her home, modest in design, offers a cozy feel with its spacious front and back yards. Leveraging California's fertile soil and mild climate, Kim Hien maintains existing perennial plants while also cultivating various fruit trees and flowers according to her preferences, such as roses, epiphyllum, oranges, kumquats, dragon fruit, bananas, mangoes, and a variety of green vegetables.

Each day, the actress dedicates about 30 minutes to one hour to water, prune, and tend to her small garden. For her, this time spent gardening is not merely about plant care; it is also a "slow living" therapy that soothes her mind and helps her find balance.
She often cuts flowers from her garden to arrange in her collected vases, adorning her living space. The fresh greens and sweet fruits harvested from her garden also become clean ingredients for her family's meals.
"I do not want to hold onto worries indefinitely. Every day, I choose peace, care for my health through each meal, and do not let external factors control my mind," the actress said.
The actress shared that guided by close friends, she ventured into financial investment. Her stable income allows her to comfortably manage her life. After experiencing emotional ups and downs, she is currently focused on building a future for her two children.
