"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" continues the story of Peter Parker (Tom Holland) following the events of "No Way Home" (2021). With everyone having forgotten Spider-Man, Peter quietly protects New York while confronting new threats. Alongside lead actor Tom Holland, the film features a notable female cast: Zendaya, Florence Pugh, and Sadie Sink.
Zendaya portrays MJ, whose full name is Michelle Jones-Watson. In "Homecoming", MJ was a smart classmate who often teased Peter and their friends. By "Far From Home", she became Peter's love interest and discovered he was Spider-Man. In "No Way Home", MJ, along with Ned (Jacob Batalon), supported Peter in dealing with the multiverse crisis.
