In an interview with director Paul Thomas Anderson for Esquire magazine on 13/8, 51-year-old Leonardo DiCaprio discussed his new project, *One Battle After Another*. The *Titanic* star answered questions about his career, personal views, and life. When Anderson asked DiCaprio, "If you didn't know your age, how old do you think you are?", the actor replied, "32," without further explanation.
Anderson then mentioned DiCaprio turning 50 in 11/2024 and asked if it was a "natural time" for self-reflection. DiCaprio said this age brings a desire for more honesty and not wasting time. "I can only imagine what the next couple of decades will bring," he added.

He cited his mother, Irmelin, as a role model, saying she always speaks her mind. He believes honesty is key to avoiding wasted time, even if it leads to disagreements or ended relationships, both professional and personal.
"You’re forced to be more honest. And it almost feels like a responsibility, because you have more life behind you than in front of you," DiCaprio said.

The actor also explained how he avoids feeling down after finishing a film. He takes long breaks before starting new projects, eager to return to real life after filming wraps. According to DiCaprio, life feels on hold while he's working.
"I can get anxious if I work too much. Going from movie to movie, I’m always dreading, 'What do I have to go back to?'" he added.
Born in 1974, Leonardo DiCaprio is one of Hollywood's most famous American actors. With his looks and acting talent, he quickly became a favorite of Hollywood directors and rose to global fame after *Titanic* (1997). In 2016, he won the Oscar for Best Actor after four previous nominations.
DiCaprio has been dating 27-year-old supermodel Vittoria Ceretti since 2023. The couple frequently travels throughout Europe and has been seen with Jeff Bezos and his wife. They recently attended a party in Ibiza, Spain.
For years, the actor has been rumored to only date women under 25. However, a source told the Daily Mail that he is serious about Ceretti, describing her as "the most down-to-earth girl he’s ever dated" and a positive influence.
