On 17/8, 63-year-old Michelle Yeoh discussed her happy life with 79-year-old businessman Jean Todt, two years after their wedding. The couple celebrated their anniversary on 27/7, but their love story began in 2004. That July, the actress accepted his proposal, just over a month after they first met at the Shanghai F1 Grand Prix.

The Malaysian actress stated that the couple considers "every day an anniversary," not waiting for "a special day to celebrate." She described her husband as romantic, not measuring their time together in years. "He says we've been together for about 7,000 days. If I really asked, he'd tell me how many hours, how many minutes," Yeoh said.
According to People, this unique way of marking their time together was also reflected in their wedding invitations. They highlighted the date of their first meeting, counting 6,992 days to their wedding day in Geneva. In December of the same year, the couple held a second wedding ceremony in Yeoh's hometown of Ipoh, Malaysia.

The actress added that her husband is understanding of her busy schedule and feels fortunate to have a supportive partner. "I love my work. It's my passion. He never complains that I don’t spend enough time with him. Sometimes I’m forced to, but he understands," she said.
Together for over 20 years, the couple does not have children together, but Yeoh finds joy with her six godchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Although she has never been a mother, she became a grandmother when Nicolas Todt - Jean Todt's son - welcomed his first son in early 2024.
In a 2024 interview with The Times, the actress shared her past heartache over not being able to have children, but she has learned to accept it and live without regrets. Before Jean Todt, she was married to Hong Kong tycoon Dickson Poon during the rise of her career. At the time, Yeoh tried various methods to conceive, wanting to provide her former husband with an heir, but was unsuccessful. This was one of the reasons for their divorce in 1992. They remain friends, and she is the godmother of Poon's eldest daughter with his current wife.
Born in 1962 to a Malaysian family of Chinese descent, Yeoh won the Miss Malaysia pageant in 1983, which launched her entertainment career. She showcased her fearlessness by performing stunts in action films like Yes, Madam!, Police Story 3: Supercop, The Heroic Trio, and Wing Chun. In 1997, Yeoh gained international recognition in the Hollywood film Tomorrow Never Dies. After a 40-year career, she won her first Oscar for Best Actress in 2023 for her performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once. In 2024, she returned to the screen in the film Wicked, starring alongside singer Ariana Grande and actress Cynthia Erivo. Her latest project involves voice acting in the English version of Na Tra 2, set to release on 22/8.
Born in 1946, Jean Todt was the CEO of the Ferrari F1 team and President of the International Automobile Federation (FIA). He was previously married with a son before his relationship with Yeoh.
