Miss World 2024 Krystyna Pyszkova attended Cannes 2026, wearing outfits by Vietnamese designers. For the occasion, she invited Quan Nguyen and Pu Le to Cannes to manage her appearance.
Quan Nguyen and Pu Le arrived in France two days early to assist Krystyna Pyszkova with fittings for designer Le Thanh Hoa's outfits and to experiment with makeup ideas. On 18/5, they traveled from TP HCM to Hanoi, then endured a 21-hour flight to Cannes. They brought 8 pieces of luggage, mostly containing makeup tools, hair styling equipment, and dress accessories.
"For a large-scale event like Cannes, meticulous preparation is crucial because each client has unique requirements", Quan Nguyen said.
The duo's biggest concern was ensuring their luggage arrived safely and was not lost. On the day Krystyna Pyszkova attended the event, they had only two hours to complete her look for the red carpet. Every step required precise and seamless coordination.
For the first day, they chose an Old Hollywood Glam concept for the beauty, blending classic and modern elements by emphasizing cool grey-brown eyes, a radiant satin base, and a futuristic bun hairstyle. According to Quan Nguyen, this choice not only enhanced the Czech beauty's regal demeanor but also aligned with the AI theme central to the 79th Cannes Film Festival.
On the second day, they transformed the beauty queen's look with a Classic Muse concept, a style reminiscent of classic cinema. Krystyna embodied a Hollywood star stepping out of a classic film, complete with a distinctive bob haircut.
Quan Nguyen and Pu Le spent nearly 500 million VND renting a hotel close to the event venue for convenience. They were just a few minutes' walk from the red carpet, allowing for quick touch-ups or new requests if needed. "Only when Krystyna Pyszkova stepped onto the red carpet and finished the event could I finally breathe a sigh of relief", Quan Nguyen said.
"I am very satisfied. Every time we collaborate, I am surprised by your creative mindset", Krystyna Pyszkova said.
According to the two experts, what moved them was not praise for their skills, but absolute trust. "For us, creating a sense of security for clients is more important than fame or fees. Additionally, we have the opportunity to bring the image of Vietnamese makeup and hair artists to international friends", Pu Le said.
At the event, the duo also reunited with Olivia Yace, Miss Universe 2024 runner-up. They had previously done makeup and hair for the Ivorian beauty when she visited TP HCM as a judge for Miss Cosmo 2025. Upon learning Quan Nguyen and Pu Le were in France, Yace proactively contacted them to work with the team.
With over 10 years in showbiz, Quan Nguyen and Pu Le are widely known as "wizards" in the beauty industry. They have collaborated with beauty queens from six major international pageants: Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss International, Miss Supranational, Miss Grand International, and Miss Earth. Leading domestic beauties also frequently choose them for collaborations.
