Stars of 'Em xinh say hi' embrace schoolgirl looks

Singers Miu Le, Bao Anh, and Phuong My Chi donned white ao dai (traditional Vietnamese long dress) and performed in a humorous classroom skit on the show "Em xinh say hi."

In the episode aired on 26/7, the singers formed new teams for the Live Stage 4 round. The production moved from a studio to a school setting, incorporating challenges based on familiar school games.

The contestants transformed into high school girls, while MC Tran Thanh played the role of their homeroom teacher. Their interactions and humorous situations generated buzz across online forums.

The "em xinh" cast portrayed common student antics, like singing, snacking, and collecting photos of idols.

Props like backpacks and bicycles evoked a nostalgic atmosphere. Singer Phuong My Chi (right) reminisced about her school days.

Skits included Bich Phuong being "exposed" for skipping school to hang out with her boyfriend, 52Hz caught wearing heavy makeup and arriving late, and Phuong Ly acting spoiled because her father is the principal, bringing laughter to viewers.

Miu Le (left) and Tien Tien played the roles of mischievous classmates who often whispered and pulled pranks, involving other students.

Fashionista Chau Bui adopted a stern demeanor as the class monitor.

When the teacher questioned Maiquinn's dyed hair, she explained, "I'm mixed-race," making the class erupt in laughter.

Six contestants will be eliminated in the fourth round, airing on 2/8.

The show "Em xinh say hi," aiming to "discover the next generation of female idols in Vietnamese music," premiered in late May and consists of 14 episodes, concluding in August. It's produced by the same team behind the successful "Anh trai say hi" program in mid-2024.

30 contestants are divided into teams, competing in group performances and facing eliminations each round. Music director JustaTee (nickname Jessica Thanh Tu), along with a team of over 20 producers and musicians, are responsible for the contestants' new songs. After eight episodes, 10 contestants have been eliminated: Ly Ly, Hoang Duyen, Ngo Lan Huong, Yeolan, Chi Xe, Danmy, Anh Sang AZA, Han Sara, Dao Tu A1J, and Muoi.
