He shared that he purchased the land, which borders Ho Chi Minh City, years ago but initially used it only as a farm. In 2024, he and his wife renovated the property and built a family retreat.

The artist's favorite feature is the 1,000 square meter lake in front of the house. He designed a resting hut using natural materials to enjoy the cool breeze and fish.

He built a surrounding wall for the garden house to ensure privacy for his family and friends visiting.

Early this year, the artist planted many additional types of ornamental plants.

He is skilled in farming tasks such as tilling and gardening, having grown up in the garden region of An Giang.

A corner of the artist's garden at his retreat features roses, periwinkle, and ornamental plants along the pathways. Ta Minh Tam stated he is looking for more fruit trees such as: durian, plum, jackfruit, guava to provide shade.

According to the artist, the retreat is not yet complete, and he continues to make improvements.

Occasionally, he invites friends to join him for meals and singing during holidays or on weekends. Ta Minh Tam currently lives with his family in Ho Chi Minh City. He employs someone to care for the garden.

Ta Minh Tam was born in 1960 in An Giang. He is a renowned singer of classical music, receiving the title of People's Artist in 2019. He currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music. Besides singing, he works as an MC, a judge for many music competitions, and has acted in films such as: Blouse trang (2002), Nghe bao (2006), Sieu quay co bau (2019).
