Tam ca Ao Trang is set to perform in a concert titled "Mot thoi de nho" in TP HCM in early August. The group plans to revisit their classic hits, including "Pho Xa", "Bo Cau Khong Dua Thu", "Goc Pho Diu Dang", and "Vao Ha". "This is an opportunity for us to reunite with colleagues and meet our homeland audience again," said member Tuyet Ngan.
The group returned to Vietnam in mid-July, dedicating time to practice, record, and reconnect with close colleagues. After a hiatus of over 20 years, this marks a rare occasion for the three members to perform together on a professional stage. In 2023, they came back to Vietnam to produce the music video "Ai cung can yeu ma", composed by Nguyen Ha.

Tam ca Ao Trang consists of three sisters: Tuyet Ngan, the eldest, and her twin younger sisters, Minh Thu and Minh Tu. Their passion for singing began in childhood, leading them to regularly participate in music activities at Nha Thieu nhi TP HCM. They became familiar faces on the "Nhung bong hoa nho" program in the early 1990s.
In 1992, the three sisters participated in the "Tieng hat Phat thanh TP HCM" program, where they won first prize. Following the competition, they decided to form a professional singing group, choosing the name Tam ca Ao Trang to cherish their school-day memories. During their career peak, the group released four pop music CDs, two CDs in Japanese, and a Christmas album recorded with singer Hong Nhung.
Their youthful performance style and clear vocals earned them a large following among generations born in the 1970s and 1980s, through songs like "Vao Ha" (Le Huu Ha), "Pho Xa" (Le Quoc Thang), and "Goc Pho Diu Dang" (Tran Minh Phi). Tam ca Ao Trang's songs were widely broadcast on radio and television.
The song "Nhung banh xe quay nhanh", a duet with Lam Truong, also stands as one of the group's beloved hits. For over 30 years, the "Cuoc dua xe dap toan quoc Cup Truyen hinh TP HCM" has consistently used this song as its theme.
The group ceased operations in 2005 as all three members successively started families and settled in the US. Tuyet Ngan currently lives with her husband and two children in Tennessee, while Minh Thu and Minh Tu reside in California.
Beyond family care, Tuyet Ngan and her husband manage a nail salon, where she also invited her sister Minh Tu to work. Minh Thu primarily manages household duties, occasionally joining choir activities to ease her longing for performing.
