In the character's first look revealed in the teaser, Thai Hoa transforms into Long, the mastermind behind the hijacking. After seizing control, Long and his accomplices subdue the flight crew, threatening, "If anyone tries anything, they will be shot dead." The flight is plunged into a critical situation as the pilot, with a gun to his head, is forced to change course. The criminals then take control of the flight attendants and injure several passengers.
On the side of good, Kaity Nguyen plays a flight attendant who strives to protect a child. Thanh Son portrays a brave young man who confronts the villain despite being at a disadvantage.
Thai Hoa stated that he immediately agreed when the director sent him the script because Long was the type of role he had been waiting for. The actor enjoys playing villainous roles that make the audience dislike him—a type of character currently missing from his career.
A representative of the film crew shared that the subject of hijacking is novel and captivating but also presents a significant challenge. They aimed to transport viewers back to the post-1975 period, when security measures were rudimentary, and flights carried more inherent risks.
The crew reconstructed the aircraft's interior to recreate the atmosphere of the past, from the control panel and seats to the cabin and the film's color tones. The project, a collaboration between the People's Public Security Cinema and Galaxy Group, is directed by Le Nhat Quang and is "inspired by a real hijacking incident."
