South Korean actor Yoo Yeon Seok, known for the hit film "When the phone rings", made a much-anticipated appearance in Hanoi on the evening of 22/8 as the ambassador for a cosmetics brand. His visit generated considerable excitement among fans, who gathered early to welcome him.

At the shopping mall event, Yoo Yeon Seok impressed attendees with a sharp white suit paired with a mint green silk shirt. Fans, carrying banners, flowers, and traditional gifts like conical hats and green rice flakes, cheered loudly and flocked to the event area upon his arrival. The actor responded warmly, waving, bowing, and continuously smiling at the enthusiastic crowd.

During an hour-long discussion, Yoo Yeon Seok expressed his deep affection for Vietnam and its people, noting his previous visits. He recounted traveling to Hoi An with friends in 6/2024, where he spontaneously sang at a restaurant, and vacationing in Nha Trang in 2019. This return to Vietnam felt familiar, and he eagerly sampled local dishes. On stage, he delighted fans by speaking simple Vietnamese phrases, such as "Em xinh qua" (You're so beautiful) and "Pho ngon the" (Pho is delicious), at the MC's request.

Ahead of his visit, the actor had recorded a video message in Vietnamese, saying: "Xin chao Viet Nam! Hen gap moi nguoi o Ha Noi vao ngay 22/8" (Hello Vietnam! See everyone in Hanoi on 22/8). His friendly demeanor was widely praised across social media. Earlier that day, Yoo Yeon Seok arrived at Noi Bai airport, dressed in an all-black outfit and a mask. Despite his disguise, many fans recognized him and waited in the lobby to take photos and present him with flowers.

Yoo Yeon Seok is celebrated as a versatile talent in Korean showbiz. Born in Seoul in 1984, he graduated with a degree in Film from Sejong University. He began his career in 2003 with a supporting role in the film *Old Boy* and rose to prominence as Chilbong in *Reply 1994* (2013). His filmography includes *Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim*, *Architecture 101*, *A Werewolf Boy*, and *Mr. Sunshine*. He gained significant popularity for his roles in *When the phone rings* and *Hospital Playlist*.

The actor has received multiple Best Supporting Actor awards, including at the SBS Drama Awards, AAA, and Golden Cinema Festival. Beyond acting, Yoo Yeon Seok has expanded his artistic endeavors to include musicals, hosting, appearing in music videos, and engaging in community projects. He is currently represented by the same agency as Lee Dong Wook, Song Seung Hun, and Kim Bum.
