The rankings were announced on July 9th at a review meeting covering the first 6 months of 2025 and outlining key tasks for the remainder of the year.
The assessment included hospitals and medical centers, excluding 9 hospitals under the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Defense, and Ministry of Public Security, as well as 7 newly established private hospitals operating for less than 12 months. This assessment did not include the 27 facilities in former Binh Duong province and 14 facilities in former Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

The top 10 hospitals are: Binh Dan (964 points), Nhan Dan Gia Dinh (963 points), Tam Anh (962 points), Nhi Dong Thanh Pho (956 points), Hung Vuong (954 points), Nhi Dong 1 (947 points), Nhan Dan 115 (936 points), Thu Duc City Hospital (928 points), Benh Nhiet Doi (907 points), and Ung Buou (903 points).
The 10 lowest-scoring hospitals are: Mat Cao Thang, former District 10 Medical Center, Rang Ham Mat Sai Gon, STO Phuong Dong, former District 3 Medical Center, Rang Ham Mat Tham My Paris, Phau Thuat Tham My JK Nhat Han, former District 5 Medical Center, Gaya Viet - Han, and Tham My Ky Hoa - Medika.

This annual quality assessment, conducted by the Department of Health for all its affiliated hospitals, is based on the Ministry of Health’s Vietnamese Hospital Quality Criteria. Key areas of focus include hospital quality criteria, surgical safety, laboratory quality, patient and staff satisfaction surveys, and the application of information technology in professional activities.
