Established in 2004, when the private healthcare model was new in Vietnam, Ngo Gia Tu Saigon Eye Hospital built an eye examination and treatment facility. It has since accompanied many families in the southern region in eye care.
For 22 years, the hospital has prioritized technology, continuously investing in equipment systems. From refractive surgeries (nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism) to cataract treatment, the hospital consistently updates its laser machines and diagnostic imaging equipment. A representative stated, "This investment optimizes treatment outcomes and shortens recovery times, providing a safe experience for patients."
For example, EYESignature is myopia correction technology personalized for each individual's cornea, enhancing safety and vision after surgery. Bladeless phaco, a modern technology, uses laser in cataract treatment.
In 2025, the hospital will also apply artificial intelligence (AI) in cataract examination and treatment. The establishment of the Ngo Gia Tu Saigon Eye Myopia Control Center, a solution for controlling myopia progression in children aged 4-16, has further completed the ecosystem of eye care, treatment, and protection for all generations of Vietnamese families.

Over two decades, Ngo Gia Tu Saigon Eye Hospital has been chosen by many generations of patients, including intellectuals, artists, and millions of Vietnamese families. In 2025 alone, the hospital recorded over 40,000 visits, with more than 7,000 successful phaco surgeries and 4,000 successful Lasik procedures.
Alongside treatment, the hospital also implemented school eye care programs and social welfare activities, bringing light to tens of thousands of people, especially those in difficult circumstances.
Ms. Phan, a 90-year-old resident of TP HCM, exemplifies a trust journey spanning over 20 years. After successful cataract surgery, she maintains good vision. This better-than-expected result led subsequent generations in her family to choose this hospital for specialized eye care.
