Dr. Diep Bao Tuan, the hospital's director, announced this information at the patient support activity review ceremony on 5/2. This marks the highest donation amount the hospital has ever received, significantly surpassing the 54 billion VND recorded in 2024.
Hospital leadership considers this funding crucial amidst increasing treatment demands. Last year, the facility recorded over 1.08 million patient visits, an increase of 200,000 compared to the same period. To meet this demand, the hospital fully activated its second facility and received approval from the Department of Health to add 200 beds, bringing the total actual capacity to 1,200 beds.

Master Nguyen Hong Diem, Head of the Social Work Department, stated that the 67 billion VND was directly and transparently allocated to patients. Specifically, over 30 billion VND was used for advance hospital fees for nearly 10,000 patient visits from impoverished individuals; 35 billion VND in cash and over 38,000 gifts were personally delivered to patients.
In addition to direct financial aid, benevolent organizations also sponsored advanced medical equipment systems valued at over 12.2 billion VND. Equipment such as versatile bone drilling and sawing systems, automatic slide stainers, and vacuum-assisted breast biopsy machines assist doctors in earlier diagnosis and more precise treatment. The hospital is currently implementing numerous advanced radiotherapy, surgical, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy techniques.
Alongside professional activities, the hospital focuses on patients' spiritual well-being through initiatives like "Happy Meals", providing tens of thousands of nutritious breakfast servings at the start of each week. Art programs such as "Songs of Love" and piano music in the waiting lobby each morning help reduce stress for patients and medical staff. Pediatric patients also enjoy regular entertainment activities, including cinema screenings and birthday celebrations held directly at the hospital.
"This record-breaking funding is not just a number; it represents a revival for many families, helping patients alleviate financial worries so they can focus on their treatment", said Dr. Tuan.
