Taiyo Ba Dinh Family Medicine and Home Care Clinic began welcoming patients on 6/8 and officially launched on 11/8. The clinic aims to develop family medicine services, medical care, palliative care, and end-of-life care at home. This model is tailored to the needs of Vietnamese people, particularly the elderly, individuals with chronic illnesses, or those facing serious health conditions.

A core principle Taiyo adopts from Japanese home care experience is "not turning the patient's home into a hospital." The home remains a living space. When doctors and nurses visit, they not only assess health status but also consider the living environment, daily habits, caregivers, and what the patient values most.

Patients with cancer, chronic, or serious illnesses often experience pain, shortness of breath, insomnia, fatigue, loss of appetite, or nausea, alongside anxieties about their condition, family, and future. The medical team prioritizes listening to patients' wishes through Advance Care Planning (ACP). This involves patients, their families, and the care team discussing important matters, aspirations, and future treatment directions. ACP is not only for the end-of-life stage but also helps patients express their desires, allowing families to understand and support them in health and life decisions.
