Relatives transported the two patients to Tan Ky Medical Center (formerly part of Tan Ky district) for emergency treatment at noon on 28/4, both suffering burns to their heads, faces, necks, and limbs.
According to their family, the two men were using a gas cylinder to singe dog meat that morning, placing the cylinder near a flame. When they opened the valve, gas erupted, ignited, and caused direct burns.
Doctors determined that both patients had burns covering about 38% of their bodies. Their condition became more serious because, after the accident, they self-treated by pouring gasoline on their burns, which caused the injuries to spread and deepen.

The patients received emergency care and treatment according to protocol. They are currently undergoing active treatment and monitoring in the Surgery Department to reduce the risk of burn shock and infection.
Doctors warn against using gas cylinders to burn or singe food. Placing a cylinder near a heat source or operating it incorrectly can lead to dangerous fires and explosions. In the event of a burn, cool the affected skin with clean water continuously for 15-20 minutes. Do not apply substances such as gasoline, oil, fish sauce, or toothpaste. After first aid, seek immediate medical attention at the nearest medical facility.
