VNVC and Nestle Health Science signed a partnership agreement on 24/6 to launch a series of activities to raise public awareness about nutrition. These activities will take place both online and in person at VNVC centers nationwide. The focus will be on educating families, especially pregnant women and mothers of young children, about proper, scientific, and age-appropriate nutritional supplements for each stage of a child's development.
In addition, people can easily access Nestle's medical nutritional milk products through the VNVC Shop. These specialized products cater to different age groups, including children, the elderly, and individuals with underlying health conditions.

"This agreement is expected to provide solutions for healthcare for both children and adults, particularly supporting children's optimal physical and intellectual development, contributing to improving quality of life and community health," said Dr. Bach Thi Chinh, Medical Director of VNVC Vaccination System.
Explaining the partnership with Nestle Health Science, a VNVC representative stated that proper nutrition for children in their early years is crucial for adult height development, as well as for brain and physical development.
While Vietnam has made significant progress in improving nutrition, challenges remain. According to the 2019-2020 National Nutrition Survey by the Ministry of Health, the rate of stunting among children aged 5-19 is still 14.8%. The average height of Vietnamese young men is 168.1 cm and young women is 156.2 cm, which is still modest compared to the global average. This situation highlights the need for solutions to improve the physical development of Vietnamese children and reduce the burden of disease in adulthood.

Initially, the focus will be on children's nutrition, helping families make appropriate food choices to promote comprehensive physical and intellectual development for children in their early years.
VNVC is a large vaccination center system in Vietnam with nearly 230 centers nationwide, providing a full range of vaccines for children and adults. Nestle Health Science, a part of the Nestle Group, focuses on developing innovative products and therapies in medical nutrition, supplements, and health-protective foods.
VNVC has previously partnered with several large nutrition companies and corporations. This aims to provide a variety of health-enhancing nutritional products through the VNVC Shop, a chain of convenient stores for families, launched on 1/6.
