The unique Arby nonuplets from Mali recently celebrated their 5th birthday, marking a significant milestone for the family and the medical community. The celebration, held at their home on 4/5, saw the 11 family members gather for commemorative photos. Cisse, the mother of the nine children, proudly held the Guinness World Records certificate, while her five daughters wore matching denim outfits and her four sons sported dark trousers with white t-shirts.
Cisse confirmed that all nine children are currently healthy and are preparing to start school. She acknowledged that caring for nine children simultaneously presents many challenges, particularly in helping them socialize. However, she expressed that she and her husband always find happiness in their busy life.

The journey began five years ago when Cisse conceived naturally. Doctors in Mali initially diagnosed her with seven fetuses. Recognizing the complexity of the pregnancy, the Malian government transferred the couple to a specialized clinic in Morocco for closer monitoring. There, the medical team conducted further examinations and discovered two additional fetuses, bringing the total to nine. At 30 weeks of pregnancy, doctors performed a cesarean section. The nine babies were born, with individual weights ranging from 0,5 kg to 1 kg.
The medical community hailed this event as extremely rare and a true miracle. Due to the inherent risks associated with premature births, such as sepsis or cerebral palsy, Moroccan doctors advised the family to remain in Morocco for an additional 19 months. During this period, Cisse's family resided in an apartment fully equipped with medical devices and received continuous support from a dedicated nursing staff.
Before the Arby family's historic event, Guinness World Records had previously recognized Geraldine Brodrick in Australia for giving birth to nine children in 1971. However, none of those babies survived.
