On 5/9, the Da Nang City Police Criminal Investigation Department initiated legal proceedings, indicting 25 suspects for disturbing public order.
The incident occurred in the early hours of 24/8, stemming from a conflict between two groups of teenagers. The first group, comprising 15 individuals, carried tridents, hog-sticking knives, slingshots, and beer bottles, riding on 5 motorbikes to find their opponents. Simultaneously, the other group, consisting of 8 individuals, was equipped with Katana swords, broadswords, and pepper spray, traveling on three motorbikes.
Upon encountering each other near Ky Phu Bridge, the two sides engaged in a high-speed chase through several streets, including Nguyen Tat Thanh, Vo Chi Cong, and National Route 1A. One person from a group sustained multiple stab wounds to the back, fell off their motorbike, which the assailants then vandalized.

This group then chased another motorbike carrying three people, stabbing two victims before taking their motorbike.
Meanwhile, the opposing group gathered more people, increasing their total to 14 members, to continue searching. Near Truong Giang Bridge, the two sides clashed a second time, using pepper spray, steel ball slingshots, and bricks and stones, injuring one person in the head before dispersing.
Investigators temporarily seized evidence, including: hog-sticking knives, metal tridents, swords, pepper spray, and 9 motorbikes. They are also strengthening the case files and clarifying each individual's role for strict prosecution.
