Hai Phong City Police have indicted 12 individuals for disturbing public order following a chaotic street chase involving armed teenagers. The Investigation Police Agency of Hai Phong City Police announced the indictments on 4/9. Authorities launched an investigation immediately after the incident.
The incident unfolded on the night of 25/6 to the early morning of 26/6, when multiple groups of teenagers gathered on Nguyen Luong Bang street in Le Thanh Nghi ward. These individuals rode motorcycles at high speeds, swerving and weaving dangerously. They were armed with various weapons, including swords, knives, tridents, iron pipes, and even beer bottles.
The groups then launched into a high-speed chase, extending from Nguyen Luong Bang street through Vu Huu and Nguyen Thi Due streets, under the Dong Nien overpass, and continuing to Han bridge. This reckless pursuit caused significant chaos in residential areas and severely disrupted public security and order.
The Hai Phong City Police are continuing to expand their investigation into the case. Authorities are working to identify and track down all individuals involved in the disturbance.
