Buon Ho Ward Police are investigating a group assault that occurred on the evening of 2/9, after a man complained about loud karaoke noise at a durian warehouse in Buon Ho Ward, Dak Lak province.

Nguyen Hoang Vuong, 31, sustained soft tissue injuries and is currently being monitored at the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital following the incident. Police confirmed on 4/9 they are clarifying the actions of those involved.

According to initial investigations, on the evening of 2/9, Vuong and a friend went to a durian warehouse on Hung Vuong Street, Thien An 3 residential group, Buon Ho Ward. They approached a group of more than 10 people who were drinking and singing karaoke, asking them to stop making noise.

During the discussion, a conflict erupted between the two sides. Huynh Tran Nhat Trung, 24, residing in Dong Nai City, struck Vuong once in the face. Later, when the durian warehouse owner spoke with Vuong in front of the premises, Vuong hit the owner in the face. Seeing this, Trung and three other warehouse employees grabbed plastic chairs and chased Vuong.
