On 4/9, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Minister and Head of the Investigative Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security, sent a letter of commendation to the directors of C05, C01, and the police chiefs of Hanoi and Lao Cai province.

These units recently dismantled three online fraud rings. The rings were operated by Bui Xuan Huan (Huan Hoa Hong) and his wife, Le Van Phu (Phu Le) and his wife, and Vu Hoang Hai (Hai Sapa TV) and his wife.

According to the Ministry of Public Security, these rings exploited cyberspace for property appropriation fraud, customer deception, accounting violations, and illegal invoice issuance. Investigators arrested and prosecuted 17 individuals, seizing numerous related documents and exhibits.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long stated that solving these cases demonstrated coordination between the Ministry of Public Security's professional units and local police. This collaboration contributes to maintaining order, deterring crime, preventing offenses, and curbing negative influences on youth.

The Deputy Minister urged units to continue expanding investigations, consolidating documents, and gathering evidence to strictly prosecute all those involved.

Huan Hoa Hong accused of concealing over 300 billion VND in revenue

Huan Hoa Hong and his wife, along with three other individuals, were prosecuted by the Investigative Police Agency Office of the Ministry of Public Security for violating accounting regulations, causing serious consequences. Huan faces additional investigation for property appropriation fraud.

Investigators determined that this group conducted online perfume sales but withheld an estimated revenue of over 300 billion VND from their books. Huan also stands accused of posting information suggesting he knew lottery results in advance. This allegedly led many to transfer billions of VND for number selection. When these individuals failed to win and demanded their money back, Huan reportedly appropriated the funds.

Phu Le and wife used 10 accounts to receive over 107 billion VND

In the case involving Phu Le, Hanoi Police found that the couple used 10 personal accounts to receive over 107 billion VND from sales. They reportedly failed to record this fully and created fictitious invoices to conceal revenue and reduce tax obligations. The Loramen male enhancement product, manufactured by Phu and his accomplices, was subsequently advertised, generating over 11,6 billion VND. Currently, 10 defendants have been prosecuted in this case.

Hai Sapa TV sold imported buffalo as "Northwest specialty"

In the third case, Lao Cai Provincial Police prosecuted Hai Sapa TV and his wife, along with another individual. They face charges of customer deception or violating accounting regulations, causing serious consequences. Hai is accused of leveraging his social media influence to advertise dried buffalo meat, made from frozen Indian imported meat, as "Northwest specialty dried buffalo meat".

Investigators continue to clarify these cases.
