On 14/7, police prosecuted 19 individuals for investigation into abusing position and power while performing official duties. Tran Thi Thu Hang, vice principal of Nguyen Van Huyen High School, was accused in her role as head of the examination center of directing and guiding some invigilators to facilitate candidates during the math exam. Subsequently, Nguyen Ha Duy, a math teacher at Tuyen Quang specialized high school, allegedly "entered the exam room and directly guided" some candidates.

The math scores for the high school graduation exam in Tuyen Quang province were found to be abnormal, with 146 out of 328 candidates at Tuyen Quang specialized high school achieving a perfect 10. A total of 299 out of 328 candidates scored 9 or higher. The average score for this group was 9,58, the highest nationwide.
Phan Huy Ngoc, chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee, reported these findings to Prime Minister Le Minh Hung during a working session on the afternoon of 15/7. Ngoc stated that the province is urgently directing a comprehensive and serious investigation with a deterrent effect, aiming to serve as a warning for Tuyen Quang and the entire country. Authorities have proven 26 individuals committed legal violations related to the incident.
The Tuyen Quang Department of Education and Training proposed that 322 Tuyen Quang specialized high school students and six private candidates from this examination center retake the math exam. However, the Ministry of Education and Training has not yet agreed, stating a need to await further verification results from authorities to comprehensively assess the incident's impact. While conclusions are pending, candidates from this school can still register for university admissions as planned. If candidates are found to have violated regulations, the Ministry will address the matter according to established rules, commensurate with the nature and extent of the violation.
