29 arrested after filming street fight and posting video on TikTok

Pham Trung Linh, 21, and his friends carried weapons, rode motorcycles at high speed, weaving through traffic, shouting as they chased and fought on the street, then filmed the incident and posted it on TikTok.

Gia Lai Provincial Police arrested Linh and 28 others, aged 15 to 21, on 26/5 for disturbing public order.

The investigation revealed that in the early morning of 24/5, Linh gathered a group for a motorcycle ride. They encountered another group of teenagers, armed with weapons, in Dien Hong ward, Thong Nhat, and Bien Ho commune, leading to a challenge to fight.

Linh's group pursued and attacked the opposing individuals, driving motorcycles at high speeds, revving engines, weaving dangerously, and even driving against traffic. They also shouted and filmed the entire incident to post on TikTok.

The Criminal Police Department's investigation led to the arrest of 29 individuals, including several students. Authorities confiscated three motorcycles, homemade knives, and pepper spray.
