Man hacks wife over 'texting with friends of the opposite sex'

Angered by his wife's frequent texting with others, Nguyen Hong Ky repeatedly advised her without success, then used a knife to severely injure her.

According to investigators, Ky, 24 years old, is married to Ngan, 20 years old. He recently discovered his wife frequently texted with some individuals of the opposite sex, leading to numerous conflicts. Ky stated that despite his advice, his wife did not stop this behavior.

On the evening of 3/7, while the couple was sleeping separately, Ky found Ngan texting a male friend. He again tried to advise her, which led to an argument.

Feeling insulted, Ky took a knife and slashed his wife several times. When family members intervened, Ky stopped and then surrendered to Thanh Hung Commune Police.

Her family rushed the victim to the emergency room, and she is no longer in critical condition.
