On 28/11, the Dien Bien Border Guard Command announced the arrest of Phang, 43, residing in De Pua village, Si Pa Phin commune, for drug-related offenses.

Phang confessed to buying 60,000 synthetic drug pills and 300 grams of heroin from an unidentified man in the border area. He then hid the illicit substances at his family's hut in Si Pa Phin commune.
On the evening of 27/11, Phang took the drugs to sell to a Chinese man. Border guard forces caught him red-handed at km 06 on National Highway 145B, in De Pua village, Si Pa Phin commune.
