Arrested for posting 9 fabricated videos about two hospitals in Hanoi

Nguyen Thien Huong was arrested on charges of posting 9 fabricated, defamatory videos targeting Xanh Pon General Hospital and Phuong Dong General Hospital.

Huong, 44 years old, residing in Hong Ha ward, was recently prosecuted and temporarily detained by the Hanoi City Police Security Investigation Agency. She is under investigation for abusing democratic freedoms to infringe upon the interests of the State, and the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and individuals.

Security authorities allege that from July to 11/2025, Huong exploited the social media platform TikTok to post 9 videos on the TikTok account Ha My. These videos contained fabricated, defamatory, and inciting content that infringed upon the legitimate rights and interests of Xanh Pon General Hospital and Phuong Dong General Hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
