The Office of the Da Nang City Police Investigation Agency initiated legal proceedings on 9/6 against a 35-year-old Australian man. He faces charges of disrupting public order and is accused of directly causing property damage at a cafe in the city center.

According to the investigation, in the early hours of 30/5, at a cafe on Le Hong Phong street, Hai Chau ward, the man became involved in a dispute with a customer. He then suddenly smashed the customer's phone, used a wooden chair to destroy various items, and overturned property in the bar area.
His aggressive actions caused many customers and staff to panic and flee onto the street. The man continued to an upper floor, kicking doors, destroying furniture, and restraining a young man until authorities arrived to intervene.
Authorities determined the total value of damaged property to be nearly 383 million VND, including several customer phones, laptops, and tablets. The incident also attracted a large crowd, significantly affecting public order on Le Hong Phong street, near the ward People's Committee, during the night.

Police gathered footage of the entire incident from the surveillance camera system. During questioning by investigators, the man showed resistance and was uncooperative.
Authorities are currently continuing to assess the property damage to clarify the full extent of his destructive actions.
