According to Daily Mail, the body of the Florida high school student was discovered on 7/11 on the Carnival Horizon.
Anna was on vacation in the Caribbean Sea with her father, stepmother Shauntel Hudson, and three stepsiblings.
Sources indicate Anna told her family at dinner the previous evening that she felt unwell and returned to her room. The next morning, the family gathered for breakfast but Anna was nowhere to be found. They frantically searched for Anna on the massive ship, which can accommodate nearly 4,000 passengers.
Around 11h, an employee discovered Anna's body when they entered the young woman's cabin for cleaning. Following this grim discovery, the ship diverted course and returned to Port Miami, Florida on 8/11.

The Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner's Office recorded Anna's time of death as 11h17 on 7/11 but did not specify how the high school student died.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) took over the case because Anna died in international waters. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage from the ship and analyzing electronic keycard data that may show who accessed the young woman's cabin. They are also examining Anna's cell phone records, interviewing other passengers, crew members, and Anna's family.
Newly unsealed court records suggest one of Shauntel's children could face criminal charges in connection with Anna's death.
This information emerged in an emergency motion filed on 17/11 in Anna's stepmother's divorce case from her ex-husband, dating back to 2024. In the motion, Shauntel's attorney stated that FBI investigators had informed Shauntel that "a criminal case could be brought" against one of her three minor children.
Shauntel, who recently married Anna's father, requested a postponement of her divorce hearing until "the criminal investigation concludes".
