Boy rescued after two days buried alive following kidnapping

Amir Alcedduh, 10, was found after two days of kidnapping, beatings, and being buried alive under rocks, when rescue workers heard his cries.

Amir Alcedduh, a Syrian boy, went missing after leaving primary school on 5/12.

Police launched a large-scale search in Reyhanli, Hatay province, and reviewed security camera footage across the area to track the boy's whereabouts.

According to reports, officers checked data from over 200 cameras before identifying Amir in a vehicle heading towards a dam in Reyhanli.

Police and rescue teams searched the dam area and its surroundings. On 7/12, while scouring a trash-filled plot of land near the water's edge, a volunteer named Ramazan Albayrak reported hearing a strange sound.

Initially, Ramazan thought it was a crow's call, then realized it was the cry of a child coming from beneath a pile of earth and rocks. Ramazan recounted seeing something resembling a body underneath and quickly moved the rocks away. Other rescue personnel shouted for an ambulance and rushed to assist.

After being rescued, Amir was taken to the hospital with a head injury. Doctors stated he underwent surgery and was in good condition, with his life not in danger.

Amir's father, Muhammed El Cedduh, told local media: "My son suffered under those rocks for many days. I want the person who did this cruel act to my son to receive the harshest possible punishment."

Based on Amir's testimony, a man known to the family was arrested. He denied any involvement and rejected the accusations against him.
