Chinese KOL investigated for 'moral decay' over courses teaching women to seduce men

Chu Yuan, a self-proclaimed "master of sexual wisdom," faces investigation for allegedly corrupting social values after earning nearly 4 million USD from courses teaching women to attract men.

On the morning of 30/1, the Wuhua District Market Supervision Administration in Changsha City, Hunan Province, announced a joint task force with public security and cultural departments to investigate Chu Yuan. She has been ordered to cease all online and offline activities.

Initial information indicates that Chu Yuan, in her 40s, was a former bank employee. She later left her job to establish the Yin Yang School of Sexual Wisdom. Claiming to be the "Chinese Master of Sexual Wisdom," she began offering classes.

Her courses primarily focus on topics such as "how to please men" and "enhancing women's charm."

In short videos posted on social media, she instructs women to use a "long, deep gaze" and an "X-shape pose" to attract men. Among her offerings, a course on conquering men, described as a "premier seduction course," costs up to 100,000 yuan (approximately 370 million VND).

Her various courses have attracted tens of thousands of female students, with estimated revenue reaching 24-27 million yuan (100 billion VND) to date.

Sexual wisdom or demeaning women?

Last August, Chu Yuan organized a two-day "Sensual Exploration" summer camp in Xiamen, southern China. There, she and her students wore provocative lingerie while exploring the "science of bodily pleasure" and lecturing on sexual wisdom.

A former employee of the Yin Yang School of Sexual Wisdom expressed "quite a shame" to discuss the course content. The students were often successful women hoping to salvage their marriages after experiencing difficulties in their relationships.

Recently, Chu Yuan's courses on enhancing female sexual attractiveness gained widespread attention, attracting over 200,000 followers on Chinese social media.

However, Chu Yuan's rapid rise to prominence has also sparked significant backlash.

Some researchers argue that her programs are essentially "mistress training camps," while others accuse her of teaching women to "please men" at the expense of their dignity.

One commentator observed: "Chu Yuan has exploited the emotional anxieties of successful women. Her business easily falls into the gray area of the pornography industry".

Another suggested that Chu Yuan disguises the belittling of women with flowery language, but in reality, she turns women into objects to serve men.

Chu Yuan, however, asserts that her lessons are designed to empower women. She claims that enhancing sexual wisdom is a way for women to affirm their active role in intimate relationships.

Since 23/1, her social media accounts have been banned, and her lectures deleted.
