The Phu Tho Provincial Police announced on 27/1 that their Investigation Police Agency has indicted Quang, 40, for producing and trading counterfeit food, foodstuffs, and food additives. The charges stem from an investigation into Ngan Ha Vinh Phuc, a company operating from Phuc Yen ward, where nearly 2,400 fake chili sauce and dipping sauce products were seized.

According to police, Quang directly managed all production and business activities of Ngan Ha Vinh Phuc. To reduce production costs, he instructed staff to purchase ingredients cheaper than those officially registered and declared. These substandard ingredients were then used to manufacture Ngan Ha branded chili sauce and dipping sauce. Police described Quang's actions as a "disregard for food safety regulations."

During an inspection at the company's headquarters, authorities confiscated approximately 2,400 bottles of Ngan Ha branded chili sauce and dipping sauce. These products were being sold to various food service establishments, collective kitchens, and food distribution agents in the local area. A forensic examination conducted by the Institute of Criminal Science, Ministry of Public Security, confirmed that all seized products were counterfeit, failing to meet 70% of their declared content.
