On the afternoon of 6/8, numerous police officers were seen at the residence of Bui Xuan Huan, widely known as Huan Hoa Hong, in the Vinhomes Ocean Park urban area, Gia Lam commune. Personnel from the Ministry of Public Security, accompanied by mobile police, were working inside the property. The Investigative Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security is currently verifying related issues, though no specific developments have been disclosed.

Huan, 41, originally from the former Yen Bai province, is widely known for his significant social media presence. He commands a Facebook account with 3,7 million followers and a TikTok account boasting 5,9 million. On these platforms, he frequently livestreams about his daily life and charity initiatives. Huan also engages in online sales of various goods.

In recent days, Huan attracted considerable attention after becoming embroiled in a dispute with TikToker Vua Quat from Bac Ninh. This controversy centers on charity fundraising activities. The incident also involved "online gangster" Nguyen Van Hoi, known as Khanh Sky, who has been temporarily detained, and Ho Van Khoa.

This is not Huan's first encounter with law enforcement. In September 2019, police in the former Binh Thanh district, TP HCM, found him positive for drugs, which led to forced rehabilitation. He was again found positive for drugs in March 2020 by police in the former Lao Cai city, Lao Cai province. Additionally, Huan has faced administrative penalties multiple times for various other infractions.
