On 27/6, Hoang, 31, residing in TP Dong Nai, and 10 other individuals were temporarily detained by the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police for investigation into gambling and organizing gambling, under Articles 321 and 322 of the Penal Code.

According to the investigation, a few months ago, Hoang, along with some foreign individuals, established a transnational gambling ring on the website hira88. Hoang managed the master account in Vietnam, then divided it into many sub-accounts to supply agents in various provinces and cities nationwide, creating a multi-layered gambling system.

In early May, Nghe An Provincial Police discovered the ring. From 17-25/6, detectives raided Hoang's premises, arresting 11 individuals.

Authorities determined that from 11-17/6, the total transaction value of the gambling ring exceeded 5 billion dong.

The case is under expanded investigation.
