According to the investigation, around 4 AM on 27/1, four foreign tourists were dining at a bar on Nguyen Thien Thuat street when an altercation broke out with another foreigner. Observing the incident, Dat, the owner's younger brother, intervened but was reportedly struck by one of the tourists. At that time, the bar was crowded with customers and many staff. Subsequently, Quoc, a bar employee, retrieved billiard cues, wooden sticks, and iron bars from the premises, handed them to Danh and Dat, and together they chased the group of tourists from inside the bar into the middle of the street.
One foreign individual attempted to resist but was unsuccessful, continuing to be pursued by Quoc's group with iron bars for about 40 meters from the bar. The incident caused a disturbance in the area. After the tourists fled, Quoc and his companions returned to the bar and resumed normal business operations.
During questioning by the investigative agency, Quoc stated that no one in his group was injured during the chase and assault, while the condition of the foreign tourists remains unknown. Police are currently checking hospitals in Nha Trang ward to ascertain if any foreigners involved in the incident sought medical treatment. They are also coordinating with relevant units to examine the scene and verify the identities of the four tourists to clarify the incident.
