On the evening of 19/5, leaders of the Hau Thanh Commune People's Committee announced that commune police are deploying forces to hunt for the suspect in the brutal murder. The victims have been identified as a 41-year-old woman, her 22-year-old son, and her 70-year-old mother.

Local authorities stated that the suspect, a resident of the area, had known the woman for many years. However, her family did not approve of their relationship.

"Initially, the cause of the incident has been identified as a romantic conflict between the perpetrator and the victim's family," the commune People's Committee leader said.

Around 6 PM today, after becoming intoxicated, the man went to his girlfriend's home in Huynh Tho hamlet and began to argue. He then used a knife to kill his girlfriend and her mother. Her son was also severely injured and taken to emergency care but later died.

After committing the crime, the perpetrator discarded the knife and fled the scene.
