Yen Hoa Ward Police announced on 19/5 that they are processing a case involving a woman who cursed at and assaulted an oto driver after a traffic incident.
The incident, which occurred around 10h on 16/5, quickly gained public attention after a video circulated on social media. The footage showed a woman, identified as 49 years old and residing in Thanh Xuan ward, repeatedly cursing and slapping a male oto driver in front of the side gate of Ngoi Sao Ha Noi Inter-level School in Yen Hoa ward.
Initial police verification revealed that the woman was riding a motorbike with her child on Nguyen Xuan Linh street when a 52-year-old male driver, residing in Yen Hoa ward, backed his oto into her, causing her and her child to fall to the road. Following the collision, the woman aggressively confronted the driver, continuing to slap, kick, and curse at him despite numerous passersby attempting to intervene and the driver repeatedly apologizing. She also kicked the oto door.
After receiving reports of the incident, Yen Hoa Ward Police coordinated with Road Traffic Police Team number 6 to investigate and summon those involved for questioning.

During questioning, the male driver confirmed he sustained no injuries and chose not to press charges. The woman admitted to her actions.
