On 8/12, the Ministry of Public Security's online portal announced that the Supreme People's Procuracy issued an indictment against Le Trung Khoa. He faces charges of making, storing, disseminating, or propagating information and documents aimed at opposing the State of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, under Article 117, Clause 2 of the Penal Code.
Based on Articles 141 and 142 of the 2015 Criminal Procedure Code, the Supreme People's Procuracy requested defendant Khoa, 54 years old, from Thanh Hoa, to surrender at police or procuracy offices in Vietnam, or at Vietnamese representative offices abroad. This allows him to receive leniency from the Vietnamese State and exercise his right to defense under Article 60 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
