On 2/7, Ha Manh Dung was prosecuted and detained by Ho Chi Minh City Police on charges of intentionally causing injury.

According to the investigation, the incident occurred on the evening of 14/5. Dung and seven friends were at the Golden Bell karaoke bar on Go Dau street, Tan Son Nhi ward, when Dung arrived later and joined their room, requesting a female staff member to sit with him.

In the early hours, while a female staff member was serving, Dung grabbed her hand and twisted it behind her back. The woman, in pain, responded by kicking him and pointing at his face.

Enraged, Dung punched the hostess in the face before striking her head with a glass, causing injury. The victim screamed and fled the room, calling for help.

Bar staff detained Dung and his friends as they attempted to leave and alerted the police. The victim received emergency medical treatment, where her injuries were assessed at 22%. She requested criminal charges be filed against Dung.

The investigative agency is currently clarifying the details of the case.
